Time flies! Half a semester has nearly passed and 1st-year students are going to face their first university midterm examinations next week: Nov. 9 to 13, 2020. The traditional MCU plum-blossom examination seating arrangement will be implemented; in line with the new life of epidemic containment, everyone is required to please wear a face mask for all the examinations.
Assistant professor in MCU’s International College (IC), Dr. Timothy McBush Hiele, and a MCU IMBA alumnus, Brandon Parker Davis, were recognized by the New Taipei City Government for their significant contributions to bilingual resource-sharing and collaborative development. New Taipei City Government has established technical and vocational cross-discipline alliances in collaboration with 44 colleges and universities to assist in collaborative development of curriculum, faculty, equipment, industry-university cooperation and resource-sharing. Dr. Hiele, currently on the faculty of the Applied Computing and Information Management Program in IC, and Mr. Davis were recognized for their outstanding contributions in the New Taipei City Government’s “Bilingual Collaborative Teaching Program.” At the October 16 press conference, Hiele and Davis received awards from New Taipei City Government Mayor Hou You-yi.
Office of International Student Service (OISS) will host a Mid-Autumn Festival Event at E202 on Taipei campus and OISS on Taoyuan campus at 12:00 p.m. on 9/30, with free mooncakes and drinks to celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival. All foreign students and overseas Chinese students are welcome to participate and experience the feeling of this festival. A total of 1128 graduating students earned 10 Pillars Certificates in 2019-20 and 45 among them earned Certification of Excellent 10 Pillars Competency and scholarships. All graduates are equipped with Morals, Knowledge, Health/Sports, Teamwork, Aesthetics, Planning, Communication, Technology, Internationalization and Employability, to launch as globalized talents who can meet current and future society needs.

Welcome new students to the MCU Family! The 1st semester of 2020-21 AY begins on September 14, 2020. Most importantly, students need to process Course Selection, which will be available online from 12:30 pm on September 14, 2020 (Mon.). Students are scheduled for online course selection based on their year of study. The results of Cloud Course Selection Agent System will be announced at 10:00 am on the day of course selection for each year of study. Students who would like to choose courses from other departments, online courses (Accounting and Economics) or retake courses, please grab this chance to add or drop courses through the Student Information System.
