Final exams are going to be held from January 15 to 19, 2018. Each student’s final examination schedule has been posted under Exam Schedule and Location Query on the Student Information System. The Exam Schedule and Location for time-conflict and cross-campus situations will be announced four days in advance under Exam Schedule and Location Query on the Student Information System as well. Please make sure to bring your stationery items and student ID for the examinations. Students who are more than 15 minutes late for examinations are not allowed to take the examination. Students who cheat during examinations will be punished with a 2nd Level Expulsion. Please do not lose something big over a small action; don’t test the rules. If you forget to bring your ID, please go to the authorized document machine to register for a temporary ID card. So, it is recommended that students get an early start.
MCU Top 2 for Enrollment of International University Students in Taiwan Top 1 Among Private Universities
According to the 2017-18 university registration rates announced by the Ministry of Education on December 27, 2017, MCU was ranked Top 4 among private universities (excluding vocational and technology institutes and religious institutes) with 93.13% registration rate (including Doctoral, Masters’ and Bachelors’ Programs), proving that MCU’s educational philosophy of “Attending to all students with parental care, support, and guidance” continues toward teaching excellence and is favored by many.
Ready for MC Weekly Volume 1000 – Short Film Contest with Prize of NTD 10,000
To celebrate the coming publication of MC Weekly Volume 1000, and to promote the Facebook fans page of MC Weekly, the university is going to hold a Popular Short Film Contest. All students and faculty and staff members are eligible to participate in the contest. Let your creative juices flow with passion, and the NTD 10,000 prize is waiting for you to win!
All full-time students and faculty and staff members are welcome to participate in the contest. Choose to participate solo or as a team (no limitation on number of team members, but choose one member as a representative to sign up for the contest.); each applicant only can submit one film. Focusing on the theme of celebrating Volume 1000 of MC Weekly, applicants should produce their own creative film on campus; the maximum duration of the film is 2 minutes, with no limitation of the type (excluding 360-degree videos).
Application period is open from now through 00:00 on January 31. The general review standards are: video reach (20%), number of shares (20%), number of thumbs-up (20%), number of views (25%), and click-though rate (15%). MCU GSIA Students Awarded Best Delegation at TaoMUN
Two MCU Graduate School of International Affairs (GSIA) students of the International College were awarded the best delegation during the first-ever TaoMun conference in early December.
Theresia Shanel from the Solomon Islands and Joselynne Mendez from Guatemala comprised that delegation which attended the First Taoyuan Model United Nations (TaoMUN) conference over the weekend on December 2-3, 2017. The Ming Chuan students finally stood out in the council due to their remarkable performance and well- geared background knowledge on international relations and other world issues.
International Students Greet Chinese New Year with Calligraphy
International College and General Secretary’s Division held the 2017 International Students’ Calligraphy Contest on Dec. 8, with 40 international students from 18 countries (Japan, Brazil, Palau, El Salvador, etc.) participating. The works of 12 students were selected for the judges’ list and will be published in the 103rd edition of MC Magazine.
Cloud Course Selection Agent System Ready for 2nd Semester 2017-18
The Cloud Course Selection Agent System will be available for registration of online course selections for the 2nd Semester 2017-18 from 12:30 pm on Dec. 12 (Tue.) till 17:00 on the day before online course selection begins. The result of cloud course selection will be posted at 10 am of the online course selection day. The preliminary selection of Add / Drop Courses Online Service for 2nd Semester of 2017-18 AY will open at 12:30 pm on Dec. 18 and will be available in different periods according to students’ class year.
